Electric Funkadelic Festival

A modular typeface was created and drew inspiration from 1920s slab serif trends and made into an electric modular typeface for a festival. Futuristic yet funky. The top and bottom slabs of each letter were exaggerated to create a bold attitude and characteristic. Moments where the crossbars of the letters become fluid were important, as they balanced the rigidity and uniformity of the modularity with organicness.
